A cap of twenty is probably a good idea, especially bearing in mind that that the last time we capped membership, we also passed a rule that former members are always welcome/eligible to rejoin, and there seems to be a possibility of some ex-members returning to the fold (someone said Jo Darling might come back, and Jane Rogers hinted that she might return (at Brian's book-launch). I'd hoped that Helen might come back to us, but Susan doesn't seem to think there's much chance of that. How or if we do this is up to you guys of course, but I would suggest a cap of 20 or 22 (plus the acceptance that it can go beyond that if ex-members want to rejoin). Alternatively we could just say 25 is the absolute limit and we definitely stop if membership ever gets to that. I wouldn't have thought it would, but after the sharp rise over the last twelve months, who knows?
